Jesse Doyle Abstracted Reality
From April 1 through to June 30, 2021, the CAGS Studio Annex will host former USMC member Jesse Doyle as a part of our new emerging artist program. Meet the artist at the opening reception during April's ArtWalk: April 9 from 5-8 PM. The CAGS Studio Annex is located on the 2nd floor of the Kress Building at 309 Middle Street.
This project is supported by the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources.
Community Artists Gallery & Studios is the premier venue in New Bern, North Carolina, for local artists and art in all mediums. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cooperative that supports a gallery, community outreach, studio space, and educational programs (especially for under-served populations). Founded in 2014, today we’re an all-volunteer enterprise.
Over 30 talented and award-winning artists are creators of paintings and mixed-media, pottery, stained glass, jewelry, basketry, fabric arts, photography, sophisticated wood crafts, and more. We invite you to stop by to browse, admire, or purchase!
We’re conveniently located just a few doors down from the renowned Craven Art Council’s Bank of the Arts, “front and center” for the downtown cultural events that New Bern is well known for. What can you expect when you visit us? You’ll be greeted by one of our working artists. And you’ll see such a variety! Earrings crafted from hand-blown glass or semi-precious stones; hand-dyed scarves and loom-woven shawls; paintings both representational and abstract; an accent table with a rustic/modern flair. Each item offered is unique. Each is locally produced.
